Sunday School—Adults
We have 7 adult Sunday School classes at Russell Memorial, which can best be described and classified by “flavor” and “age group.” Each class meets on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:30 a.m.
New Beginnings Class
Young Adult/Office Complex
Study Topics: Bible, Theology
Activities: VBS, Angel Tree, Socials, Cards
New Disciples Class
Singles & Couples/Mixed Ages/Sowers Building
Study Topics:
Our class uses study books on contemporary subjects with open discussion.
Mission/Activities: Breakfast during class (provided by members each month); Card Ministry; Support missions & service projects: “Have hammer, will travel!”
JOY Class and Bridgebuilder’s Class
Mixed Ages/Office Complex
Study Topics:
Our class studies the lectionary passages that will be used in worship on the following Sunday.
Seekers Class
Ages 50’s, 60’s, 70’s/
Study Topics:
Our class uses the Methodist literature. Members volunteer to lead a discussion on each lesson.
Missions/Activities: Card Ministry/Prepare & deliver food when it is needed/Support Methodist Builder’s Club
Friendship Class
Age 60’s and Beyond/Sunday School Annex

Mission/Activities:
Card Ministry/Annual Christmas party featuring “White Elephant Sale” with proceeds going to Christmas Angels. Active in E.C.H.O.E.S. (Effort Can Help Our Egos) Donations as needed for miscellaneous needs.

U.M. Church Literature Lessons with discussion following.
