NOTES FROM THE LOFT
I have asked Mr. Roy Glenn to assume directorship of the Children's Choir as of
November 1st. and am delighted to tell you he has accepted.
Roy holds BA and Masters degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary. He has served as Editor
and Curriculum Director for The Music Leader and Young Musician
Magazines. He has served as
Minister of Music at First Northside Baptist Church, Weatherford; Mayfield
Baptist Church, Arlington; Polk Street UMC, Amarillo; and First UMC in Hurst.
He served as Director of Children's Choirs at University Baptist Church,
Ft. Worth (4 years) and Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst (14 years).
One reason why Roy has been so successful is that he is a teacher at heart; he
loves children and will offer his talents unreservedly.
Like all good teachers, he will also ask a lot of his charges (and their
parents). Let's all get behind him
and, together, take the next step toward a quality graded music program at
RMUMC.
