Music Ministries

At Russell Memorial we have a fantastic music program that is open to anyone who wants to make a joyful noise to the Lord! Each of our music groups meet weekly for practice. Each group is friendly, fun, and special to be a part of. Come and offer your musical talent to the Lord!

Sanctuary Choir We have a 30+ member Sanctuary Choir under the leadership of Dr. Bob Gilbreth (a very talented musician). If you have any musical interest or talent—vocal or instrument—regardless of your talent or skill level, Dr. Bob has a place for you! The Sanctuary Choir usually performs in worship every Sunday and for special events.

Ladies Handbells We have an adult ladies’ handbell choir under the direction of Theresa Turner (another very talented musician). These ladies usually perform in worship once a month and for special events.

Angelic Bell Choir (ABC’s) We also have a youth handbell choir, also under the direction of Theresa Turner. The ABC’s usually perform in worship once a month and for special events.

Children’s Choir Our children also have the opportunity to participate in music ministry under the direction of Mr. Roy Glenn. All children grades 1-6 are invited to participate. The Children’s Choir usually performs in worship once a month and for special events.

Praise Band We also have a Praise Band made up of several of our young adults. This band focuses on the more “contemporary” style of Christian music. They regularly use drums, electric and acoustic guitars, and other instruments in making their “joyful noise” to the Lord. The Praise Band is under the direction of Zach Caldwell (another extremely talented musician).
